The
Champlain Housing Trust -
The Champlain Housing Trust was created out of a merger
of the Burlington Community Land Trust and the Lake
Champlain Housing Development Corporation to serve the
housing needs of low and moderate income residents of
northwestern Vermont. Over 2,000 individuals and
families currently live in our affordable apartments,
cooperatives, condominiums and single family homes.

E.F. Schumacher Society -
The E. F. Schumacher Society, named after the
author of Small Is Beautiful: Economics As If People
Mattered, is an educational non-profit
organization founded in 1980. Our programs demonstrate
that both social and environmental sustainability can be
achieved by applying the values of human-scale
communities and respect for the natural environment to
