Building a National CLT Network

ICE hosted a meeting of CLT leaders in May of 1998 to begin thinking about ways that CLTs could work together to address their mutual needs.  That meeting led to a CLT Network convention in March of 2000, and an inaugural meeting in Albuquerque, NM on November 8, 2000. In December of 2005 The Network officially became an independent organization.

The National Community Land Trust Network represents and promotes the interests of groups and individuals affiliated with community land trusts throughout North America. These include members of CLTs, staff and general supporters who align themselves with the CLT model of creating and preserving permanently affordable housing through the democratic stewardship of land.
